COVID-19 Precautions

The Diocese of Central Florida has updated its guidance on COVID-19 precautions. We implement them at Good Shepherd as follows:

 1.     We will endeavor to "Love thy neighbor as thyself," showing due care and consideration for each other’s health and respect for each other’s consciences. Anyone with symptoms of respiratory disease (coughing, sneezing, sore throat, etc.) and/or fever should please enjoy church from home and avoid church activities until they are well.

2.     Vaccinated adults, as well as all children and youth, need not wear masks at any time, but of course may as they and their families see fit.

3.     Masks are not necessary for anyone attending outdoor events and gatherings

4.     We ask those who are not vaccinated to attend to their personal health and show consideration toward others with regard to precautions such as social distancing, mask usage, etc. We trust your character and judgment.

5.     We may resume sharing the peace with handshakes and hugs. Please be careful to respect each other’s personal boundaries and comfort level.

6.     All hospitality functions may resume pre-COVID norms. Hand sanitizer will continue to be readily available throughout the church.

7.     Our Thrift Shop leaders will adapt as best serves their volunteers and customers.

8.     Our Vacation Bible School will adapt as best serves their volunteers and attendees.

9.     We will continue our online worship, Bible study, etc. for those who cannot be with us in-person for any reason, including those across the nation and around the world. Compline will continue because it is blessing many people. (You really ought to check it out if you haven't.)
