On the mornings of June 9th - 14th, join us on a jungle safari to explore the nature of God as CREATOR, PROVIDER, PROTECTOR, SAVIOR, and KING. We will have fun music, crafts, games, Bible study, and snacks. We welcome children who are entering Kindergarten next fall, through rising 5th graders. We welcome volunteers to help make our safari a success! Our first planning meeting will be on Sunday, March 16th at 11:45 AM (right after the second service.) Or, call the office at 676-8578 to let us know you'd like to help. We can't wait to jump to the jungle beat!

Father Tom is seeking team members for a trip to our mission in Santa Maria, Honduras, tentatively scheduled for March 22-26, 2014.
Members will help construct a wall around the perimeter of the property to secure the construction site for the future church and lay pastor’s house. Seamstresses and tailors are also needed to assist the women with their sewing co-op. Other team members will assist Father Tom with a Bible school for the children of the mission and their friends.
Several parishioners asked for Chip Thullbery's recipe for the delicious ham strata that was served on Rally Sunday.
1/2 pound sliced ham, cut into small squares
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
6 slices white bread, crusts removed
1 tsp. Dijon mustard
2 cups half & half
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
Paprika (optional, for color)
Place bread in single layer on bottom of casserole dish. Stir together ham and mustard and sprinkle evenly over bread. Sprinkle shredded cheese over ham. Beat together eggs, half & half, salt, and pepper. Pour over cheese. Sprinkle paprika over top (optional) for color. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until set. Serves 8.

Every week we print our statement of mission in our bulletin insert. I bet there is no one here who can quote it from memory. Let me remind you what it says: “Our mission is to be a Christ-centered family committed to being faithful in worship, prayer, fellowship and learning so that we might grow in our love for God and others.” I’m not sure when we adopted our mission statement, but it was probably the product of a conversation among the members of the vestry at one of our annual February planning meetings. Mission statements are created to help guide us in pursuing the vision God has given us.
